Aalborg Christmas Aquavit 2019
History and background:
Aalborg Christmas aquavit is a Danish classic, first launched in 1982 and quickly became a beloved part of the Christmas table. Every year the decoration on the bottle and gift box changes, and every three years the bottle shape also changes – but the aquavit inside remains the same year after year. The 2019 vintage continued the tradition with its iconic bottle and high quality, and is a prized collector's item.The aquavit is made from distillate of caraway, dill and coriander seeds. It has a robust caraway character in aroma and taste with a fine aftertaste of orange, almond and coriander. The alcohol percentage is high and is exactly 47% vol. This corresponds to 8 degrees Spendrup, which was the unit of measurement for alcohol in the late 19th century.
Aalborg Jule Akvavit has been awarded as one of the best spirits in the world - most recently with a great gold medal in 2023 and a whopping 95 points from the renowned taste judges from IWSC.

- 1 cl freshly squeezed orange juice
